As of 9am on 14 May, there have been 2,219,281 tests, with 126,064 tests on 13 May.

1,593,902 people have been tested, of which 233,151 tested positive.

As of 5pm on 13 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 33,614 have died. This new figure includes deaths in all settings, not just in hospitals.

The equivalent figure under the old measure would have been 27,776.

  • New Hospitalization

    •  521 vs 574 yesterday

  • Top Priority 

    • Protect Nursing homes and Seniors 

    • NY has the highest population of nursing homes residents 101,518 

    • 34th in the Country of Nursing home deaths 

    • Nursing home can only serve a resident if they are fully capable of providing the indiviidual level care 

    • If they have a COVID positive and they can't treat them then they must be transferred

    • All nursing home staff will be tested twice a week 

    • Hospitals can not discharge a person to a nursing home unless they have tested negative for COVID 19

  • New York state investigating 85 cases of what may be a covid related illness - further investigations ongoing. 

  • Actively pursuing treatment with REMDESIVIR. New York state working with CDC. HHS has sent enough antiviral to treat 2,900 people at 15 hospitals.
